Cold Storage
Munters IceDry desiccant dehumidification for cold rooms, blast freezers, and dock areas in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Pondicherry.
The Problem
Cold storage facilities face a relentless humidity challenge: warm, moist ambient air infiltrates whenever dock doors open, causing frost and ice buildup on evaporator coils, floors, and racking. In South India's high-humidity climate — with ambient relative humidity regularly exceeding 80% — this problem is acute year-round. Ice accumulation increases refrigeration load, raises energy costs, creates slip hazards, and compromises product integrity. Traditional vapor barriers and strip curtains are insufficient for high-frequency loading operations.
